EUROMAP General Assembly Elects New Presidency

Tobias Baur and Alessandro Grassi Confirmed as New EUROMAP Presidency

On June 6th, during the EUROMAP General Assembly held in Stuttgart, Germany, the European manufacturers of plastics and rubber machinery elected their new leadership.
Tobias Baur, CSO of the German injection molding specialist ARBURG GmbH & Co KG, was appointed as the new President of the European association. Alessandro Grassi, shareholder and CEO of FRIGOSYSTEM S.R.L., an Italian manufacturer of temperature control equipment, was appointed as Vice President. They succeed former President Luciano Anceschi (TRIA S.p.A.) and former Vice President Michael Baumeister (Brückner Group), who retired last year.

The new Presidency promotes closer cooperation between industry at European level. Europe and the plastics industry are facing challenging times, and the industry must act as one. The important transformation of the plastics industry towards a circular economy needs a roadmap
that is ambitious but also takes the industry along and involves it. This will be even more successful the more consistently the industry positions itself. The successful work to date in the direction of standardisation (EUROMAP standards), data collection and exchange as well as trade fair cooperation is to be continued consistently.

EUROMAP extends its sincere gratitude to Luciano Anceschi for his excellent, reliable, and fruitful collaboration over the past twenty years — first as Vice President and, for the past thirteen years, as President of EUROMAP. Under his leadership, EUROMAP had a figure who focused on the needs of European machinery manufacturers while pursuing common goals with great enthusiasm.

EUROMAP warmly congratulates the new presidency, Tobias Baur and Alessandro Grassi, and conveys its best wishes for every success and good fortune in their forthcoming responsibilities.
