PETCORE Europe announces a new executive Director

Brussels, May 10th, 2023

PETCORE Europe is pleased to announce that it has appointed Martin Stephan as Executive Director, vice Ermis Panagiotopoulos, who served as Interim Executive Director since January 1st, 2023.

Martin Stephan spent his entire career in the chemical industry, in France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland, and has been more recently Deputy CEO of CARBIOS, a French clean-tech developing technologies for the end-of-life of plastics and fibers, including PET. CARBIOS was one of the founding members and co-chair of the Depolymerization working group of PETCORE Europe.

“We thank Ermis for taking on the role of Executive Director as Interim in the last four months, and we wish him all the best in his role of Head Sustainability Advocacy EMEA at Indorama Ventures PCL. We welcome Martin Stephan, and we are convinced that his experience and competencies will be paramount to deliver on the mission of the Association.” says Antonello Ciotti, Chairman of PETCORE Europe.
