Novapolimeri: innovation and sustainability in the tailor-made compounds

2024 a year of strengthening under the sign of tradition, growth and innovation

Novapolimeri is a company located in the italian province of Vicenza that since 1995 has been engaged in the trade and distribution of highly customized and performing plastic materials, designed to fulfill the most varied market needs.

Thanks to the competence and expertise acquired in almost thirty years of history, today Novapolimeri is known as a reliable and solid business, widely present in the North-East of Italy and able to dedicate maximum attention to its clientele and projects while always guaranteeing elevated quality standards in all products and services. Fundamental in this path of growth and development has been the steady and proactive support of Novalca, a company that for over forty years has been developing and producing thermoplastic compounds reknown in the market thanks to a skilful and consolidated know-how in the realization of performing tailor-made products, equipped with the highest technical, qualitative and colour analysis standards in the spirit of innovation, competence and customization at the highest levels.
Originally founded as a logistic base for the distribution of Novalca products, over the years Novapolimeri has become an actual boutique of plastic materials, in which each client is supported in the choice and development of the most suitable product with reference to the technical details required by every single project, never failing to achieve the best possible quality-price ratio.

“The indisputable strenght of Novalca, and therefore of Novapolimeri as well, lies in the ability of customizing each resin of our portfolio as much as possible” explains Novapolimeri’s CEO Chiara Gammaldi Sguario.
“The R&D department supports us from the very early stages of projects development in order to provide customers with consultation, and specifically, by advising the most suitable product, by adjusting the formulation in order to reach the desired results, and by correcting such formulation during the subsequent stages if necessary; all of this would never be possible without the combination of expertise and experience with flexibility and creativity, distinctive traits that have always characterized our two companies”.
In this perspective must also be read the recent agreement signed with Poliblend by Ascend, thanks to which Novapolimeri has become from January 2024 the distributor of Poliblend compounds in the Triveneto area. “Our desire was to expand our product portfolio, in order to increase our presence in the market and our ability to approach more and more technical and high-performance sectors” explains Novapolimeri’s Sales Manager Giada Gammaldi Sguario.
“However, it was necessary for us to choose a company that would allow us to keep doing what we are really strong at, that is customizing each item as much as possible. Poliblend by Ascend has certainly proven itself as an excellent choice, by virtue of its great knowledge in compounding, its highly skilled and experienced technical department and its vast range of certifications.”

Moreover, the choice to collaborate with such strategic partner as Poliblend by Ascend was taken to continue the path of greater awareness to the environmental sustainability and circular economy issues: in fact, this company offers a wide range of polyamides 6 and 66 certified “Plastica Seconda Vita – MixEco” (“Second Life Plastic – MixEco”) named POLIMID GREEN, that will permit to implement the already vast offer of Novalca REC products distributed by Novapolimeri.
REC offer (acronym for Recycled Engineering Compounds) indeed consists in tailor-made products, though produced from raw materials of post-industrial origin and in compliance with regulation ISO 14021:2016. “It is a range of products that is truly achieving resounding success. The key factor of our REC materials lies not only on the fact that they are tailor-made, but also that they are produced using raw materials originated from a guaranteed supply chain, fully respectfull of all europeans environmental regulations and placed at a reasonable distance from the production sites in order to reduce the impact of transports” continues Giada Gammaldi. “This last subject is particularly close to our hearts, so much that in the past three years we’ve strongly invested in this direction, and more precisely, in a private fleet of vehicles capable of significantly reducing emissions of CO2 during transportation. In addition, we’ve also recently moved to a new modern and functional headquarters, built with the latest innovative construction techniques and equipped with photovoltaic panels and energy efficiency systems.”

It is genuinely no coincidence that Novapolimeri is certified ISO 14001:2015 since 2022, in order to officially ensure to all stakeholders its powerful commitment to the environment. “The new headquarters will allow us not only to reduce environmental impacts and energy consumption, but also to increase our stocks (the new site will in fact count on a 2.700 m2 exclusive warehouse) thus enhancing yet another incontrovertible highlight: the guarantee of a fast, efficient and punctual service made possible by this elevated stock, that permits us to fulfill last-minute orders and make up to the otherwise inevitable production times, as well as by a rapid and reactive just in time logistics (72 hours for Italy)” adds Chiara Gammaldi. “This is a service that our customers have always appreciated, as demonstrated by the fact that our company has managed to go through the difficult years of the pandemic and post-pandemic with its head held high, registering nonetheless a considerable and constant percentage growth in sales volume. For the moment this trend seems to continue also for 2024, despite this year is already prooving itself to be challenging due to the well-know international tensions and economic slowdown. The MECSPE trade fair that we attended at the beginning of March unfortunately confirmed a general tendency to procrastinate, waiting for a stabilization of the market that unfortunately still seems distant. Nevertheless for the upcoming events we expect many news, especially with regard to the recycling sector: it is a circuit that surely has a lot to offer, but still needs some time to fully unlock its potential.” “Our goal for the future is to continue to offer our solidity and competence so to repay the great trust that our customers and partners have in us” – concludes Chiara Gammaldi – “There are always many challenges, but we’ve never been afraid to get involved: we will continue to invest in projects with all the flexibility and creativity possible and with the purpose of a greater sustainability and innovation, constantly evolving but never betraying our origins”.
